Dr. Atyub Ahmad

Dr. Atyub Ahmad relocated from Muskoka to Oakville to be closer to his family. In Muskoka, he had a busy dental practice providing a full scope of general dentistry services including treatment for dental emergencies, fillings, crowns and bridges as well as dental implant treatment.
Prior to pursuing dentistry, Dr. Ahmad graduated, with high distinction, from University of Toronto specializing in molecular biology. He then pursued a Masters in Health Policy, before commencing his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the University of Toronto. During his time in dental school, he did placements at the UofT pediatric dentistry department and Mount Sinai Hospital providing dental services for children and special needs patients. He is also an avid researcher, publishing several studies on improving access to dental care in Ontario. He believes in and practices evidence based dentistry, allowing his patients to make informed decisions for their dental needs. His calm demeanor and painless approach also puts patients at ease during dental treatment.
Dr. Atyub Ahmad holds a position as a consultant dentist for the Wellington and Guelph Department of Public Health. He has dedicated the past several years of his continuing education to implant dentistry with a special interest in guided bone regeneration, bone grafting and sinus lifts.
He also holds memberships with:
- Canadian Implant Dentistry Network- Fellowship with the International Congress of Oral Implantologists
- Fellow of the American Academy of Implant Prosthodontics
- Ontario Dental Association- Member in good standing with the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Atyub Ahmad enjoys hiking, table tennis and spending time with his wife and 3 children.
